The Sea of Galilee Boat was discovered by fishermen in the Sea of Galilee in 1986 during a drought that caused the waterline to recede. Also called the Jesus Boat, it dates from the first century AD and is said to be similar to the types of boats used by fishermen on the Sea of Galilee during the time of Christ. It's on display at the Yigal Allon Museum at the Kibbutz Ginnosar, on the western edge of the Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) north of Tiberias.
